When I recently asked a friend, who has been going through a difficult period in her life, whether she was still singing (she has a beautiful voice) she said: “Not in quite a while, but I’m going to sing again…” The following is for her, and anyone else who needs to be reminded that:

“The heart that once could sing,
will sing again.
The bird with broken wing,
will fly again.
God’s grace to face the day,
The will to walk life’s way,
The faith to simply pray,
restored again.

“The sun that once did shine,
will shine again.
The joy and peace of mind,
will come again.
The calm within the storm,
The love that once was warm,
The trust that has been torn,
renewed again.”
