“What if the dead are not raised?” wrote the Apostle Paul. “Then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied”
(1 Corinthians 15:16-19).

What if Christ had not died?
Where would we be today?
No Easter morn to celebrate,
but in its place just sin and hate,
unbridled lust, decay.

But come with me and see
the place where Jesus lay.
It’s not a myth, it’s not a play,
from death to life He rose that day,
all doubting fades away.

Oh, hallelujah, glorious hour,
triumphant grace, redeeming power.
It happened as the prophets said,
My Jesus Christ rose from the dead!!

“… Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive” (1 Corinthians 20-22).

“Up from the grave HE arose,
with a mighty triumph o’er His foes.
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
and He lives forever with His saints to reign!”
HE AROSE! HE AROSE! HALLELUJAH CHRIST AROSE!
-Robert Lowry
