FRESH SPRINGS

“Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give him will become in him
a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4:14

All my fresh springs are found in You, oh Lord;
All my fresh springs are found in you.
I long to drink from your fresh springs, dear Lord,
Springs that will cleanse me, and renew.
When I am weak, I find in them my strength,
You know just what I need each day.
Your Word’s the food I really need to eat,
You quench my thirst along the way..

This world’s become a barren place for me,
Its springs no longer satisfy.
I once enjoyed to drink from them, you see,
But now its wells for me are dry.
Life-giving water comes from you, oh Lord,
Your springs abundantly supply
All that I need flows from your springs, dear Lord,
Fresh springs that never will run dry!

You’re the living water, springing up within.
Flowing, daily flowing, cleansing me from sin.
Check each thought and motive, wash away each stain.
Cool fresh springs of mercy, make me whole again.
